Pacesetter Headers
I just bought some pacesetter headers for my 2000 3.8 liter V6 camaro and i don't want to spend $700 to have them installed. So can some one give me any websites that could help me install it or any type of information. Thanks in advance
When installing a Header + Free Fow Exhaust on a car that has the stock system, you will more then likely have to do a number of minor modifications to the surrounding volume on the car that the pipes are going to occupy without denting or altering the new exhaust. Chassis bolts may have to be cut off for clearance, wiring such as the Oxygen Sensor may have to be relocated, starter heat shield, alternator brackets ... etc. It's not a one day job if you're going to do it right.
A mock up prior finalizing the installation is highly recommended. The car will have to be jacket at least 2 feet off the floor to allow clearance for you and the parts. A Vise, Clamps, Grinder and Torches are the main tools. Access to a car hoist, lift or pit makes the instillation much easier.
If you not up to the task a Speed Shop or Muffler Shop can do the job but I guarantee, after their installation, you will have to get under the car to make additional modifications to correct a matter that they either over looked or did not bother to contend with.
Once you have a header system properly installed it is usually much easier to maintain then a stock system.

Yea i was just talkin about the header install not installing the y-pipe, bc it didnt fit right. The next morning i had to drive it straight headers to the muffler shop to get them to cut and re-weld the y-pipe. Sounded bad *** with straight headers but it rattled everything in the car though
