in pennsylvania, and several other states, you have to pass an OBDII, a tail pipe test, and a visual test....if you get caught in PA with a car without a cat or cats, the cop (if hes in a bad enough mood) can have the car towed as being "unsafe for public roadways"...also, you cannot get an inspection sticker without an emission sticker, and now the exhaust check, including the cat inspection, is part of the safety inspection

That is 100% but true I was spraking about where I live, I don't know about other states. In Ill. if you have a 98 or newer OBD2 car they only do a scan test, if you don't through any codes you pass. For the older OBD1 cars they do a different test but I know a ton of guys who still pass. If you state is alot strickter get high flow cats, or better yet most states will have "show Car " waiver, I know ILL. has them.

PA used to have the waiver, but now, to get the waiver, you have to pass visual if your car is a 78 or newer...

consider yourself lucky that you dont have to deal with that crap

Thats alright ILL. makes for it by doing all kinds of other stupid crap. Recently they doubled all the tolls if you don't have an IPASS

anything is legal as long as it goes thru the cats and passes emmisions.(beside your local noise codes) go to 2in. or 2.5 in pipes and if your muffler guy is good it can tuck it up enough to fit. there is also a company out there that makes a 4in. system for the 93-02 f-body and you would not have to go thru that "bs" to make tru duals. if anyone wants the info on the 4 in. system give me a shout and i will post it....

YES TRUE DUALS IS KINDA HARD BUT ALOT OF LOCAL SHOPS CAN DEFINATELY DO IT, EMISSIONS IS VERY BAD HERE IN TX, AND I GOT STRAIGHT PIPE ALL THE WAY TO A ONE CHAMBER FLOW, AND THEY INSPECTED IT FOR ME THERE RIGHT AFTER THEY CUT THE CAT AND RAN THE PIPE FOR ME, SO IT HELPS TO KNOW SOME PEOPLE.

in NC if ur car is older than 91 u dont have to pass emission they just give ur exhaust a look over to see if u have a cat and muffler unless it didnt come w/ it from factory

when i had my glasspack on mine i made it so i could just clamp my cat into place for inspection then drop it after and put a pipe in its place......only problem is i would weld the pipe in after i passed and cut it back out everytime inspection came around

nice and loud, i was happy : )
