Default 1987 2.8 cold air

Anyone know where i can get one for my car? I know upgrading to a 350 would be the way to go but im 17 and dont have that much money. Besides its only got 70k on it. If there isnt one specific for the car, whats a good universal intake and filter? While im at it, what other power adders could i get? any supers or turbos? I just wanna spank my friends subaru. its basically equal now. how much would a standard conversion cost? sorry for the crapload of questions but im in autobody not automotive.

cold air intakes only free up like 3 hp, and most companies aren't going to make perfomance parts for a engine that most people wouldremove fromtheir camaro's and throw in the trash. but i know how you feel so i'll see if i can stir up some idea's. since their's probably not a bolt on aftermarket exhaust available, you could try and borrow somebodies mendral bender for the day and make your own. thats assuming you have connections. a good exhaust can give up to 15 hp, depending on how restrictive the old one was. you could theoreticly install a custom turbo setup on the little 2.8 too, but thats ALOT of work and its pretty expensive. other then that i'm not sure what else you could do.

oh i forgot! dry nitrous kit. you can get them in a universal application, and it'll give you the most bang for your buck, just don't go crazy and put a 150 shot or something, then you will be buying a new engine.

If you are at a budget, then getting a turbo or supercharger will be really costly. I suggest you go with come cold air intakes, some good headers, and a good exhaust. That right there will give you about 10-15hp increase. Also get a free weight reduction at your local auto shop. Maybe you can win him in a weight ratio race since you are both at the same level in performance?
