I am restoring a 1978 Camaro. I purchased new rear seat belts and the old cover which sits over the tensioner (where the seat belt recoils) does not fit as the replacement belt housing is larger. Has anyone else encountered this problem and if so what was your solution? Thanks in advance for any and all info.

 

Where did you buy the new seatbelts?
I'd contact them and if they don't have a part that fits ask for a refund and buy elsewhere.
