I have a 2000 m6 SS camaro and i was having a clunking noise from the tranny so i got a a new mount for it (clunking gone)and i was getting a vibration in my seat and my shifter was shaking and ticking in every gear when i give it gas from a take off or give it gas. i put my hand on the shifter and it almost goes away. i know i need u joints the car has 50 k and i have some play so i know that might have something to do with it but do you think my shifter is shot because when i put my hand on the boot you can feel a vibration. the car goes into gears fine and does not pop out of gear at all. i was planning on putting the 5.0 shifter in anyways as the next thing for the car but i think i have to now. i have a new ls7 clutch kit (about 15K) still grabs great any ideas what to chase after the u joints i just hope the throwout is still good thanks in advance

 

Did you use stock type mounts or stiffer ones? The stiffer mounts will tranfer more vibration.

ouch lol i dont cause i dont know what it is my girl...well thats another post. i used a poly one. i know they will vibrate but it was doing it before when my stock rubber one was in it. it seems almost if my shifter is loose. i have the pro 5.0 on order because if i am taking the console apart i am replacing it with something better
