Default RE: vibration

It most likely sounds like a bad rearaxle bearing, but If you have positraction (and even if you don't), then you might need to change the rear end oil and be sure to put the specialpositaction additive in. The additive works wonders and can elimate "chatter" in the rear end (especially when turning). You can get the additive at most parts stores. I prefer the GM one that can be bought at most dealerships.

THE AXLE WAS LEAKING AND PULLED IT OUT AND FIXED THE SEAL THE AXLES LOOK GREAT WHERE THE BEARING IS RIDING ON IT.
HAS NEW REAR DIF FLUID BUT HAVE NOT PUT THE ADITIVE IN YET.
I KNOW THE ENGINE IS NOT CREATING THE VIBRATION BECAUSE WHEN U FREE REV IT THE CAR HAS NO VIBRATION, IT IS SMOOTH.
MABY GOT A WHEEL OUT OF BALLANCE, OR A REAR BRAKE DRUM OUT OF ROUND
BUT QUITE SURE IT IS COMING FROM THE REAREND.
WILL HAVE WHEELS CHECKED AND THEN WILL POST BACK.

THANKS FOR THE REPLY!

Default RE: vibration

have them check to see ifany of the wheels are bent, I had that prob. once
also check the driveshaft and see if the u-joints are phased right. I know on my Firebird the u-joints are phased out of time just a little. I asked my driveshaft guy about it and he told me the factory did it to keep vib's down. Not sure if Camaros were done the same or not

Let us know what you find out
