Default Vapor Lock??

Alright, yet another problem with my 67 probably due to sitting for two years. Anyway The first couple of times I drove it after getting it out of the shop it ran great, now when the engine heats up to about 200 deg. it will start hesitating and bogging while I'm driving, and as soon as I slow down to stop it will die unless I shift it into nuetral and keep my foot on the gas. If I do let it die, I have to put the pedal to the floor and crank it for about 20 seconds before it will start. Then it will run great after it sits and cools down a bit. Does this sound like vapor lock? Or maybe someone has also had this problem, either way I'd love to hear some suggestions. Thanks......Brandon

Yeah it's only when it's warmed up. It's a 327 with a 600 cfm Edelbrock performer series carb. and a mallory distributor (point system I think) and the stock mechanical feul pump mounted to the side of the block. I've heard of people having problems with those types of fuel pumps, and when they put the electric fuel pump on and mount it in the back by the fuel tank it solves the problem. Let me know what you think.......

Since it is a newer Carb I doubt that would be you problem. I would try replacing your fuel pump. It doesn't have to be an electrical replacement but it sounds like that could be the beginning of this problem
