Default Turn Signal Bulbs

Hey guys I know this sounds like a stupid problem but here it is. I've been running Pilot's Xenon bulbs. They fit okay and work for a while but they burnt up the wiring harness going to the turn signals. I think theyre the wrong wattage 12v 27/ 8w I replaced the wiring harness and tried them again but this time it blew one of the bulbs within a day , but the other one is still going strong. I can put normal orange bulbs in and everything works great , so its a bulb prob and not an electrical one. Has anyone else had this prob, or does anyone know a better bulb with less issues. I dont want to have to go back to orange bulbs with the white corner lens [:'(] but wiring harnesses arent cheap[sm=thanx.gif]

It's prolly running with too much resistance in the wiring. I would go with using a relay and see if that helps you.

See I was wondering if I used an inline fuse link if that would protect my harness. But if I could just find the right bulb i could circumvent all that.

unless you use a low draw fuse, it wouldn't work... finding the right bulb is an option, but anytime you run wires from your battery or circuit box to a switch then back track is just screaming resistance.

Yeah but i bought a factory replacement harness and just cut the old wires and put the new one on . But the wires on the new harness do seem smaller than the original so you may have something there.
