Default Tranny coolers...

How much stall can you get away with before needing a tranny cooler? Will be typically "around town" type conditions.

You should always have a tranny cooler, and most cars are equipped with one, usually as part of the radiator. If you have a stall over 2500 RPM, you will need an auxiliary cooler to keep the tranny fluid from overheating and causing tranny damage.

thanks pete, just to clarify was talking about auxiliary coolers. I have the one built into the radiator, The stall on my converter is rated at 2300-2600, just wondering if thats high enough to justify another cooler.
