Starting Issues
Alright, I posted this a long while back, and never got around to checking it because I was on vacation and I didn't wanna bump the old one. So I'll start over
1989 camaro 5.0L 305 TBI. I've been running premium in the tank recently and now sometimes when i start it up, it'll start to die... I'll rev the engine a few times and then the rpms will stabilize and it will be fine.
If I don't rev it, however, it'll just die out, the rpms will get too low and the engine will die. Not really a big deal, just kinda a nuisance and people tend to think i'm showing off when i rev the engine on start up. lol

[X(] at cold startup the computer is in open loop and is running on a set program. if things like dirty/clogged injectors are not atomizing fuel well or a bad, slow dirty idle air control motor cant do its job well or a good vacuum leak youll get problems similar to this and all the aforementioned are not uncommon for this vintage . have you tried checking for technical service bullitins for similar conditions kurt
