Default Problem with Autometer Oil Press. Unit

The sending unit for autometer oil pressure wont fit in the hole behind manifold. The male fitting on the sender is too short. I have looked EVERYWHERE for a brass fitting to use as an extension, but no luck. I read I can hook up sender somewhere near oil filter. Can anybody upload a pic to show me where? I saw a hole near the oil filter but its slightly larger than the sending unit threads. Or, I found ****** fittings. One will go into the hole and one will attach to the sending unit. I will attach a 1/8" hose in between the fitting on the block and the sending unit. Will this work? Almost like a mechanical gauge. But then how do i ground the sending unit? Somebody please help!

Go to the hardware store plumbing section and get one of these: http://www.plumbingfittingsdirect.com/galv2.html
and one of these: http://www.plumbingfittingsdirect.com/galv1/80009.html
Then screw your sending unit into the coupler. You can use black pipe if you don't like galvanized. Don't forget the teflon tape too.

The problem is if the adapter is too high, then the distributor gets in the way. Unless I get an elbow. Does anyone have a picture of the hole near the oil filter?
