Default Patriot Performance Series Heads

Have any of you Chevy guys tried these heads out?

They are supposed to be close to AFR performance and half the price. I'm wondering if they are just like ProComp heads.

[X(] while i have not had any dealings with parts from this company i do believe the old adage of you get what you pay for may apply here. maybe they are a bigger name than edelbrock, dart, AFR etc in the parts world but i have not heard of them before and sounds like another of the bad copy companies that are out there now. DO YOUR RESEARCH keep us posted kurt

I agree with the get what you pay for. I'd say even if they flow with the numbers the say they do, quality elsewhere is probably failing. It doesn't look like the valve train is as nice as AFR's setups and consistancy could be an issue with a low(ish) priced head.

It looks like AFR's 195cc street heads flow 30cfm more at .550 lift, which is a considerable amount of flow difference. On top of that the valve train on the AFR heads has higher quality components, and a bare set of AFR heads is only $200-$300 more.
