Default performance heads

Hey, i have an 89 RS 5.0 camaro. Im looking into building into the engine. With upgrades such as, new cam and lifter set, new intake, new heads. I was told if i were to do that i should get a steel braided crank. Is this true? And also if i could get any links of heads to get, it would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Mike

while there are performance heads out there for a 305, may i ask why your putting that kinda money into a 305? i understand if you are looking to keep it a factory motor, but for the money your going to put into building a 305 like you are you could do a 350 or 383 for about the same money.

get an intake, shorty headers, and a carb and mabe a ditributor. that should give you the power you want. you dont want too much power in those 305s, cuz its only a 2 bolt main. too much power will blow apart the crank. the best cheap way for power is to take out the smog pumps, i did, and there was a noticeable differeance.

Some people should not be allowed to open the hood of a car.[sm=chairshot.gif]
