Car totally dead
I searched and couldn't find my problem so I'm starting this new post. I have a 2000 Chevy Camaro V6. In January it was mostly parked and I would start it up every week. In February we had a real bad ice storm so I went about 2 weeks without starting it. After the ice was gone I started it and NOTHING, totally dead.
I bought a brand new fully charged battery and now the alarm light comes on and the door/keys in ignition dings at me. Everything else is DEAD. What do you guys suggest I look at next? I need to check the fuses again, someone told me you actually have to pull them out to check them. I only glanced yesterday. Thanks guys!

are the terminals hooked up good, and free of corrosion?
Often you can get a little power to allow various functions to work but not enough juice to start the car...
Use a metal brush to clean the battery cable connectors, if that does not work, double check that the battery is charged and then move on to the starter selinoid and such...obviously you might want to check the ignition fuse first
