RE: Noob question
[X(] remove the stock muffler in the rear for fairly aggressive sound or put a 40 series flowmaster in its place, this produced a reasonable rumble without being annoying. as for dressup items: for wheels your pretty limited, the camaro and corvette have a large offset and a 5 on 4 3/4 bolt pattern which not a lot of manufacturers cater to with that kindof offset. if your willing to go with less offset (more wheel outside the fenderwell) on the rims you get a few more choices. so mostly youll see alot of original equipment corvette reproduction style wheels offered.
dual exhausts can run into the couple hundred dollar range and are difficult to fit and look good under this chassis. unless you got a big stiffie for duals a good large single will work just as well
also just as rscamaross said keep her clean and in nice condition. other car owners respect this cause they know the time involved. this body has great lines so in my opinion it doesnt require a huge wing or dorked up decals or a couple of coffee cans( sorry, exhaust tips) hanging out the *** end. its just my preference but the term K.I.S.S appeals to me, keep it simple stupid. i prefer to put the money into the performance items and leave the exterior simple and clean but everybodys different kurt

RE: Noob question
flowmaster makes a direct replacement with dual outlets for the v8's this may or maynot , or maybe they make a bolt in, work for v6's. it may have to be welded in. check with them on compatibilty local muffler shops will usually have them but cost more than from the mailorder speed shops. once at muffler shop you may like the exhaust without the rear muffler at all but this is your call. flowmaster also recently lost thier patent on the mufflers so there is quite a few knock offs that are cheaper and nearly the same quality and sound
