nope. started knocking the second i picked it up and the tech said it was the A/C compressor. It doesnt lock and spin anymore but i dont think thats whats making the knock.I listend to it with a scope and cant find the knock.sounds like deep internals.

Well, seriously I wouldnt open anything up untill the situation with the 'mechanic' was rectified. A call or online visit to the BBB Better buisness beureo (sp) is in order. I once got an entire living room set re-upholstered by calling them.

There are some simple diagnostics you can do though... how does the oil look? How does the water/coolant/antifreeze look? How long has the A/C done this?

Maybe a coil wire is off on one side than the other. If you have a hot car, the test ride may have induced a good bottom end knock is someone took a hammer to the gas pedal. Might be why they do not want to get involved is something happened there with your car in their hands.

I sure did romp your every ride. Wasn't my car! Ain't that a beach!
