My Camaro is being weird than ever!
So... idk where to start..
I bought this car 3 months ago, and i've had so many problems - (especially electrical problems)
okay, so when i first start the car, everything's okay. but once i drive it for about 40 minutes straight with my gauge lights on, the battery goes down slowwwly. and when i use side blinkies, the battery gauge goes like "tic toc - tic toc"
but if i don't use gauge lights / side blinkies often, i don't have any problems.
but then, at night. i HAVE to turn on my gauge lights and side blinkies you know?
and after using the gauge lights for 20~ 35 mins, my right side of the gauges go crazy. but my left side is fine.
I am scared and annoyed.
P.S - when i turn on my head lights and leave the gauge lights off, i don't have any problems.
P.S.S - and what i think is that whenever i use anything from the gauges (i.e - Blinkies, gauge lights) i think it uses the battery more than enough. and i don't think my alternator is broken.
HELPPPP
i drive a 89 Camaro RS.
helpppp

Sounds like a current draw from that dashboard toggle switch. Because you turn the dash lights off, she stops bringing the battery down as if you had 30 brake lights on and she is dropping current out of the battery fast in your 40 minute ride until you turn the dash off, then the battery recharges.
Is that the scenario? So, follow the switch wires on the hot side is my guess.

would you be more specific on how to switch wires on the hot side?
:O
I really need to solve this problem.
it's driving me crazy and i'm scared to drive lol
oh and the weird thing is, when i turn my head lights on all day and turn my dash lights off, it can go forever.
but then whenever i turn my dash lights on, scary parts...

Well, obviously you need to keep the dash lights off. If you have a specialist that deals in just electrics in town, I'd hunt down a person in that type of business.
We could go back and forth on what might be not even switch related. So, with all the variables, you sort of narrowed it down to the dASH IS SMOKE THAT CAR DOWN!
So, you have a wire that is resting to cause a good current draw, but not blow a fuse. Someplace where you hot that dash, there is some wire/unit that is drawing down a lot of battery flow right to ground.
