Weird VIN #?

Default Weird VIN #?

Ive decided to get a little more info on my car's history and was looking at the VIN # and i cant match it with any database... WTF? its 1P87LAL525763. The trim tage is throwing me a curve ball also... here is a picture of the trim tag.Weird VIN #?-2012-07-29-14.24.31.jpg

Any ideas?

You're right the VIN is out-of-whack.

Try this one: Chevy Camaro VIN Decode Second Gen
1 = GM
P = Camaro
87 = sport coupe
L = 350 engine, 190 HP
A = 1980
L = Van Nuys plant
525763 = build sequence

What with the trim tag is throwing you a curve?

Hop...hop...hop. Some of that info, and link to above, had been added to a post Cplthomas put a while ago. In looking at it, it could use some cleaning up, adding to, and organizing, as well as having it in more than one gen section. It's kinda lost the way it is now. I'll get on that, then, there.
