Default Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder

I have tried all day long to remove the ignition switch lock cylinder on my 69 camaro. I removed the steering wheel and signal lights. I have a slot on the side of the cylinder but sticking a screwdriver into the slot only removed the bezel nut but not the cylinder itself.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.[/align]

I can't recall what the early stuff is like because I done so much later stuff. Is there a screw behind the turn signal switch under the lock cylinder or a hole with a button in it where you need to turn the key and pus on the button while pulling the lock out.

I removed the turn signal arm and did not see any screw behind it.The key has been stuck, but when I removed the bezel nut the key came out. There is no button, but there is a small slot that I have used a screwdriver and a paperclip to see if I could pop it out with no results. Thanks for your help.

Ok in that small slot you may need to push on it but the key needs to be turned to release a lock in it.
