I know on the Diablosport tuner I had, there was a cable/plug that goes to the car, and a couple outlets on the handheld, one for power and the other to hook up to computer, used to view datalogging and update the handheld. Perhaps thats what it is. Did you get it used or new?

I had a Power Programmer when I had a 96, it was fun to mess with. Don't recall what thepower port was for, could be I never payed attention. All that is needed to work is a cable from the programmer to your OBD port. When you are using it, be sure to have the doors closed and nothing on that will use power, otherwise it may not work properly (ask me how I know that one). Also if you ever sell the car and want to keep the programmer, reset the car back to stock, or your P.P. will be useless to you.
