Default Froze up carb

I Have an older 70s model quadrajet the one without all the electric junk. The bottom flaps will not open up at all and im afraid to take the screws out because of all the Corrosion they might break. What can I do to free them up, or what can I soak it in

Try PB blaster, that is about the best stuff I have ever used to free up stuff.

Soak the entire carb in a vat of kerosene overnight.

Or diesel but it sounds like that carb will be nothing more than a core even if you get it freed up.
You could kit it but I'd be worried about a leaky throttle shaft without having it re-bushed.
Old Q-Jets are pretty common and easy to come by,I'd look for another one or just use it as a core for an off the shelf rebuilt.

I have soaked carbs in vinegar to weaken rust. GIBBS penetrant oil works too.
