Clutch Burn
First learn how to take off normally and smoothly without slipping the clutch, lurching the car, squalling the tires, bogging or stalling the engine. Then try to do the same thing, but faster. Practice, practice, practice. Spend time at a drag strip and work on your reaction time. It is all in feeling what the car is doing and coordination between your butt, and feet.It doesn't happen overnight.
Don't do that again! Keep clutch slippage to a minimum, wait for the clutch to be fully engaged before applying full power. It can be done very fast, but it takes a lot of practice. You also want to hold down tire spin as the car does not accelerate well with the tires smoking, all you want enough tire slip to create a little blue haze around the tire, which also keeps the engine from bogging.
