Lets see now, you want to know what damage burnouts can do?? One word " Stress" , you put these on any mechanical part and what will happen....Shorter lifespan then whatthey were designed for. Another word for it is DUMB.....[sm=Flahssssss.gif]

I used to do it. Did donuts, figure 8s. Once the rear wheels broke loose (I got a posi) I could spin circles all day long while drinking a DR. Pepper.
But it is not good to do. I just did them when I had too much to drink. That Dr. Pepper is some mean stuff.

I used to do burnouts when I was a young buck until I burned up the back tires and then went to get new ones and they're about 160 a piece....not worth it...

Oh yeah, and it does stress things and is dumb... I just broke a tranny mount today doing a burnout... Its only $7 and an hour of your time, but its slightly embarrassing..

i power braked the crap out of my old tires. the cords were showin by the time i was done, so i had four bald tires vs. 4 half bald tires (bad alignment). it was a lotta fun til the cops came and i had to run on bald tires and bad brakes (car wasnt street legal or inusred at the time) i have a tpi z28, and itll go into second while its sitting still. if you want max smoke and slippage, put some oil on the ground.

If you are going to continue doing burn outs get a urethane trans mount. You wont break them.
My brother had an early Shoebox Nova and he was doing a burnout at night. He had a whole street smoked and a ghetto bird out over head.
