Default clutch ??

I had to drop my car off to the stealership for some warranty work on the exhaust. When the car was cold the muffler would rattle...I have had problems with the dealership in bringing the car back a few times for the same problem. When I was leaving my clutch felt spongy and it is making a chatter when I go to take off. If I try and take off in 3rd gear it will take off so I know the dealership killed my clutch. What clutch should I put in?? The car is practically stock and plan on keeping it around stock condition. My girl called Chevrolet and made aformal complaint with the dealership because of the clutch now being messed up andthey stole a CD from my CD player, 2 chrome lug nut covers and 2 chrome valve stem covers. When I confronted them of course they denied it but when I know when I dropped the car off everything was on cause I washed it a day before and was listing to the cd before I dropped it off. Any suggestions for a clutch for me and prices for an install? 2000 SS

i would keep calling the dealership, and keep asking for a manager, go up there and make a scene, mostly complain about the clutch and throw in the cd argument after they tell you no one was driving your car around. , That would make me so mad... i dont know how you held yourself back.

I learned the hard way, that when you bring a car to a shop for repairs everything not bolted on needs to be removed first. But I don't quite understand your clutch analysis. Taking off in 3rd gear is a good way to burn the clutch up; but how does it prove that the dealership damaged it?

Why would you buy a new clutch yourself if the dealership broke yours in the first place.

I would just make a big deal AT the dealership right in the damn showroom. That's what I did when I brought my Camaro in for some work when someone broke my driver side mirror. I dropped it off and when I picked it up, there wasa quarter tank of gas gone and an extra 58 miles on it... I *****ed and complained long enough before they topped off my tank, payed for wear and tear on 58 miles, and payed my insurance deductible. (insurance was covering the work for my mirror under comprehensive because some ******* smashed my mirror).
