Classic NOS Tire I.D. newbie needs an expert
Hi, am new to this forum.
I have owned a 66 Chevelle S/S years ago and need some help with a tire I bought on a steel wheel .
It is an NOS Goodyear Speedway Wide Tread F70-14.
1) It reads 4 ply rating (under that it says 2 ply)
2) It is a white line, with yellow lines on the tread with insignia( can't
decipher) and all teats - indicative of NOS
3) It reads RMA-1 and SAE J918a w/ V-! in an oval
4) I see no DOT designation, but there is another longer #??
I googled this and it showed up on Camaro, and Pacecar topics. 1968-69.
Is this O.E.M. for Chevrolets in this time peroid? If so, which cars specifically? I would like someone to have it as a trunk spare. I don't need it. It is mounted on a rim that has "6" and "A3" on either side of the valve
stem.? Is this something worth having in your car or a friends?
Please be honest if it is a rarish tire. Thanks Larry B
