Choke Trouble?

Default Choke Trouble?

hello guys,could use a little help.i have a 1986 camaro z28 305 4brl.when i go to start it in the morning when the engine is cold it will start fine and iddle nice but suddenly after about 1 minute it will iddle itself way down to an almost stall and run rough and smell,after doing this for about another minute it will iddle back up to where it was when first started and then i am able to pop the accelerator down and kick it out at which point it runs excellent. the car runs great when warm but does this too me if it sits for about 4 hours or first thing in the morning.

You can adjust the choke by loostening the 3 screws on the choke coil. Look at it and it will tell You what direction to turn it for cold starts.

That choke would likely have rivets, not screws.
