It just started doing this a few days ago. What can it be , can it be the fuel filter dirty? cuz its only when i try to punch on the gas pedal, i dont know when the spark plugs were replace, any suggestions?

check your egr valve, if it's not working correctly, it's letting too much exhuast into the intake, and then, obviously, your car hesitates.

Check the EGR as mentioned. If it checks out OK then you should change the plugs and wires. Did the optispark distributor get wet, or even damp recently?

Take the EGR out and clean off al the crud on the valve and on the exhaust gas passage. From what you are describing, the car is running bad under load. On the LT1 this is usually caused by ignition problems. Spark plug and wires would be a good start.

You can use a stiff brush and brake parts cleaner, but keep it off the wires. Under the EGR there is a passage, usually a tubethat goes to the exhaust manifold . Sometimes it gets plugged up with carbon deposits.

Ya, and if those dont work try the fuel filter. A question, what happens when you push in the gas not ful throttle, but still pretty hard? What RPMs? Also, maybe try checking if your air filter is clogged up (sometimes its the simple things).
