BLOCK LEAK?
Has anyone used this before and how well does it work? This is a kit that you buy from Napa (thanks pete) to diagnose a bad head gasket. You get the car up to normal operating temperature and you put this vile with this solution and if the solution turns yellow then exhaust is detected and you may have a bad head gasket. If anyone has used this before or if anyone knows about it then your input would be a big help.
A block test kit.
If you can take some coolant out of the radiator if its at the top. That way you do not draw it into the tester. Start the car and have it idle with the radiator cap off. Then place the tester onto the radiator neck. It has a fill level line but if the filler neck on the rad is at an angle on the side you may need to fill it a little more or angle the tester as straight as possible upwards. Hold it tight to give a good seal to the radiator and use the suction bulb at the other end to draw the air that is in the radaitor into the teaster. As it passes through the blue liquid if there are any combustion chamber gasses in there it will turn the fluid yellow. Just pump the bulb a few times to draw lots of air in and make sure you get enough.

I preformed the leak test and then I also did a presure leak test and both tesk came back negative for a bad head gasket. There was no oil in the rad and no rad in the oil. Also there was no water or steam coming out of the tail pipes. In the end we diagnosed the problem as a bad radiator even though the radiator shop said they tested the radiator and it was good. After replaceing the the whole cooling system that was last part we changed and now the car runs like a champ. (whew!) As alway's thanks for the input.
