Default 8.5" 10 Bolt Rear Gear Change

I'd like to go to a 3.55 ratio instead of the 3.73 I have now and make the carmore driveable on the street. I pulled the cover on the rearend and measured lash, about .023 between the ring and pinion and .015 lateral movement in the carrier. Probably the reason I notice vibration at highway speeds. When I pull the axles, I'll make sure they're not bent/twisted. One of the spiders looks damaged. Anyone know of an online tech article detailing a step by stepgear replacement procedure for this type rearend? Any comments would be appreciated.

dunno bout that, but they just rebuilt a 10 bolt in a magazine called Camaro Performers and gave step by step.
