If you go to an official track the safety equipment required is determined by official NHRA rules, you can read all of them on the NHRA website.

Here in Las Vegas at LVMS we have "Midnight Mayhem" where it is$5 to watch,$10 to race- italways has a great turnout of all kinds of people\cars. Pretty much every other Friday all year round in sunny Las Vegas.Awsome program- Ionly wish there were more tracks nationwidethat would follow suit...

Heh my dads a hippie so my first car was a 1969 chevelle I never got to drag race her Ive never drag raced or anything just on street just beating peeps at stoplights for fun in my lil 325is. Wonder how my camaro will do if it ever gets smogged heh.

the strip here in colorado has test and tunes wednesdays and its 30 bucks for the night and i average 5-6 runs... one night though it was so awesome it looked like it was gonna rain but we figgured wed try anyway but i didnt rain and almost nobody showed up we got 8 runs then took a break for hot dogs and sodas and got 6 more it was great
