Does anybody know if there is a nonprofit organization to pay tracks to offer free track time? Seems like it would be a good way to keep kids from wrapping themselves around trees (and to keep my drivers licsense...)

 

Well its not like the tracks are that expensive to begin with. But I understand where you are coming from. I think it would make sense to build more tracks, so if you've just got to race somebody, it won't require an hour trip to get to the nearest track. But in that case the supply will definetely outweight demand - after all not that many people do race at all.

 

how much is it anyways.. i mean for a 1/4 mile time.. to get a slip and all??? never been to a track

 

usually tracks will have a 20 dollar night. race as many times as u can go through

 

They have races here at the Chargers stadium parking lot. Totally legal,I think it is like 20 bucks.

 

what sort of rollcages and protective stuff do they usually require

 

none.. its street racing... stock vs stock sometimes... ricers vs... muscle... just fun...

 

damn i need to get out to a track someday.. i really wanna see wat number i get.. i have no i dea were there is one around me though.. probably one in sacramento just havent reasearched it enough

 

i wanna try to get my dad to bring his vette lol, both my parents use to drag race alot, until they had me, and then sold their cars after my bro was born.

 

thats gay...lol... well im sure your parents would at least understand why you want a camaro or vette... its in your blood.. most other paretns like mine would say a car like that is a death wish for a teenager
