maybe he did do it..... but I would assume that his family doesnt like him and was hoping he would kill himself off [&:]. You have to have a valid drivers license to drive the 1/4 mile track. anyone under aged runs hp-restricted specialty cars in the 1/8th. end of story. u could at least own up to lying like ls1s13 did and then everyone would start liking you. ur talking to a forum of primerily experienced builders and racers. if it looks like bull, smells like bull, and squishes like bull, guess what?

The army isnt a bad life for a single soldier. There are lots of opportunities you would not have any where else. There are lots of down sides too. If you are dead set as coming in as infantry then more power too you but spend some time and think about it. It could be a good time to get some skills in a field that might pay big bucks when you decide to get out. One thing you need to play hardball with your recruiter remeber they need you more then you need them. Fight for that bonus and you can get air borne in your contract in just about every MOS unless you are a tanker or somthing like that where you will not be falling out of the sky.
After Basic and AIT i went strait to Air Borne school and it was infact a blast. The PT and runs sucked and the first two weeks you where soar but there was a arcade, subway, and little bar right across the road
. The first time you are on a real bird and you steep out that door is an experince you will never in your life forget.
But on the real side you need to think about it. There are a lot of good things but there are a lot of bad. Trust me its not a perfect world and some people get there rank way too easy. You also have too deal with deployments and lots of them. It doesnt sound bad untill you have spend 3 of the last 5 years in deployed to a combat zone. For guys and woman with little ones it can be very hard. Even saying good buy to your friends that just dont understand what you are going throw is hard.
It was hard to say good buy to the ones i loved the first time. The second time i was better prepared but seeing others around me men that wouldnt be there for there childs birth, seeing hard old SSG's crying, I watched a man that i never knew had emotions brake down to his wife and 3 kids. Its no joke man its the real thing. And once you boots hit the ground every thing back home that was so bad before starts looking real good real fast.
You can PM me questions and what not if you have any. I dont mind telling you the truth on both the ups and downs. For me it hasnt been too bad i Re upped for 6 more years of it so i will be around for a little bit

You get a one block and success all the way down.... well said.
Spart, you know there are a few (Cbr, myself) who will tell you straight about the Army, recuters are fine but they might uhhh, bend,, the story.
OP, you can get 325 out of a little 305, cheap heads and a hundred dollar cam will NOT do it though. Alih mentioned sicksicksick, do a search here for him and see what happens. Get the december edition of camaroperformers mag, it has a build up exactly what you are doing. it is more than cam and heads.
Cbr, you still down in carolina? I am in the 10th, I got a good intake and carb that would go good with that 350 of yours.

Think about it for a long time spartan. If you want to come into the army thats all fine and good but i would hold off with the hole ranger thing until you find out what the army is really like. I know a lot of people that come in and try to go all out with the hole selection thing. Most of them end up deciding they hate it or end up not getting selected the first time and then you go to where the army needs you. Im telling you now its all fine and and good if you want to do it to serve your country. But dont do it for the wrong reasons or you will be hatting yourself very soon as so many do.

OMFG LMAO, dont remind me about ls1s13. So it would be pretty pointless to get a set of heads that DIDENT need tuning right?

This thread is two threads pretending to be one[&:]
I'm following along myself- I've been thinking about whether I should build up my 305 or if I should keep it all stock, so I'm quite interested to hear what you have to say.
That said, I was looking at this thread:
https://camaroforums.com/m_7367/tm.htm
And the cam they used lists on Summit for only $100. I did talk to someone at Comp Cams and they said it would work in my LB9, but I didn't find out if I could expect similar results.
The heads they used (the World Products) list on Summit for $400. At a glance it does appear that you can make a 305 fast for quite a decent price- but I bet it's more complicated than that
And this one's just for my car- if I put new heads in, I would not have to replace my leaking o-rings. True or false?
