Default trasmission/gears

I dont know too much about transmissions, but just wondering what would be good to use when racing. I have an automatic right now, kind of want to get a manual, dont really have the money. Would a shift kit be worth the money? What about changing the gears? Thanks for the information in advance!

I suggest you leave your car alone till you learned about drag racing, and figure out what you really want to do.

Hey thats what Im doin here, they are plenty of people that know more about racing than I do, just trying to do some research b4 I do anything with the car. Havent even touched it yet except for some repairs Ive done. Lay off, whats wrong with doing a little research and askin people who have been there done that?

They Are Right Dude I Have Over $6000.00 Tied Up In My Ride And At The Moment It's Nothing More Than A High Dollar Rubber Shreader. If I Would Have Known More about Dragging I Would Have Spent The Money In Other Ways And Probably Be turning Alot Better Times Than I Am. You Can Have All The Horsepower and Torque In The World And If Your On Able To Use It ... It's Nothing More Than A Loud *** Smoke Bomb. LMAO. Sick
