ive got a 1996 z28 fully loaded options. was wondering how i could tell what gears are in the rear end . its a auto. but has all the options other then that. ttops alarm bose sound system power everything ASR and other but cant think of it right now. i was wondering what gears came in the stock z28 lt1

 

on you driver door codes. i dont know for sure but its like


gu4 = 3.08
gu5 = 3.42
gu6 = 3.73

 

x.x grrr. my car has been painted before i got it and the stickers are gone -_-. hmmm.

 

Check the inside of your glove box my 95 camaro had a sticker in their too.

nope it says service parts identification. so thats a no. could i take a bye a chevy place and see if they could tell me?

 

I think they come with 3.42 gears, but i could be wrong.

 

just search for specs on google, one sight i found that there is somewhere by the spare tire that also says what gears u have but i have never been able to find where is says it

 

i found a gu2 in the glove box with a list of other things. but i only found gu2. hmm either way they are about to get switched to 3.73s. im about to build my motor and it will be changed then. so its fine.

 

Since its a Z28 and not an SS, and b/c its an auto im pretty sure they are 2.73's
