I found out it is a bad exhaust leak....Its leaking right out of the header gasket....no big prob...i want to thank this site and everyone who psted on this thread for helping me out....Thanks for helping me keep my Camaro on the road!

Camarokid......... I'm glad it's only an exhaust leak. But in the future if you have a "ticking" noise that sounds like it's coming from the valve cover area, have it checked out pretty quick. As I was reading this and I cam across the "it got louder" post, I was afraid you bent a lifter. If you don't know alot about engines, (not trying to offend), then you should have odd noises checked out soon in order to avoid making the problem worse.

LOL!!!! I meant valve but I was talking to a guy on the phone about roller lifters while I was talking. I caught all my other typos and corrected them I think.

Crewgirl....Thas a good idea in the future...Although I coudnt afford to take it to a shop b/c my parents are in Scotland for another two weeks visting my Grandma...Do shops charge you jus to diagnose the problem???

Most shops charge for the diagnosis of a problem, but will waive the diagnostic part if you have them fix it.. so either way your going to pay for a shop to look at it.
