Hi all, I am taking my stock LT1 heads off for porting/polishing, and was curious if anyone had any extremely good/extremely bad experiences with any particular brand/type of head gaskets? A friend of mine had some serious race-only gaskets that blew out on him after 1k miles on his all motor 561hp/383ci, so I'm not subscribing to the theory that bigger $$$ is always better, thanks everyone

 

I play whith 383 stroker in my z28 felpro is the way to go never had a problem

 

I run the Fel Pro MLS gaskets. Not super pricey and good for aluminum heads but work with iron heads (my style) as well.

Fel Pro basic gaskets are good for pump gas. The Fel Pro MLS gaskets are the overall best.
