Afr 195 heads
Hello. I've heard a lot about the afr 195 but no one can really tell me how much of a power increase I will see if I switch over. I have a 350, 30 over, 4 bolt. When I bought it the guy said the heads were off of a 69z28 and apparently they are semi-rare? Or maybe they were corvette heads (it was a while ago) what I know for sure is they are gm cast iron heads and it's got about 9:1cp. Not sure of the casting number. The cam is similar to the grind of a 69z28. My carb is a vac secondary edlebrock 600 cfm 4 barrel. RPm air gap intake. Hooker longtube headers estimated 330hp
Could anyone give me an estimate of the power increase I would get from going to afr 195 heads 64cc. And also because money's tight could I reuse my valve springs and rockers?

I bet they would be a good choice , a friend of mine has some AFRs on his 406 sbc & it screams like hell ! But I don t know which ones he got , but the 195 s definitely a good set .
I guess you should have like 350-400 hp est .

If your on a budget and want around 400HP on motor only. then look at a set of vortec heads both the 062 and 906 castings. They can be found for a very low price if you look. You can upgrade your cam to a Comp. EX-268 and your very close to you numbers with only the heads and cam change. You would need a intake but the rest can be reused. The heads your thinking about are very good BUT you pay the price just to have them.
