So the camaro needs some paint. Pretty much everywhere. My uncle is a certified automotive painter. He would help me paint the whole car for free. My question how much is a decent paint job with clear coat? Im thinking about putting a little bit of a lot of clear coat on it in case it gets light scratches etc in it. Any pros/cons to this? If it makes any difference i just want to do a simple color like black or white with a small stripe down the sides

 

black isn't a simple color at all. that is probably the hardest job to do. if this is your first time (which it seems to be), you are better off with another color because black will show EVERY little imperfection in the entire car

also, if your uncle is going to help you paint it for free, don't worry about how much a paintjob costs, because there are too many deciding factors on final cost of a good paintjob
