so the HP gains are the same regardless of mods? so a bone stock 350 will gain more from the chip than a fully built and forged turbo v6? I hate these internet schemes. I wish we could do something to bring them all down.

ya my buddy thought it was the heat sheild too, but we shook the hell out of all the piping and couldnt find any spot where it was hitting up against something else, i know it was rusted pretty bad and we noticed a tiny crack towards the end, but he said it was prolly too small to loose anything, im thinking of just getting new exhaust system and putting it on, any opinions on what to get?

coluld be broken vents in the cadalitic converter my sisters blazer has a rattle like just like that and thats the problem with hers but if Im thinking right the cads are in the front just pasy the headers so if its coming from the back then im not realy sure.

So I'm looking at chips also, and there are three that always jump out at me. All three say they do the same thing yet there is about an eighty dollar difference.. what gives?

Looks like two can receive updates via the internet. Though they all seem to provide the same function. I am sure those may be fine, if you only plan to do a little bit to your car. Though if it anything like most, all you can tune for is when you get on it. If you want the most, I would suggest HPTuners.
