Thumbs down cant stand the pop up ads

How can I stop all the pop up ads while I'm on this site? To say its aggravating is s complete understatement.

What browser are you using? I run Firefox and have an adblocker installed in the add-ons extensions.
I know nothing about any pop up ads that can occur here, or any other site for that matter, because I don't get any.

Moved this thread from 4th gen suspension to the Forum Issues section.

I use chrome at home and IE at work, have no issues with either? Sounds like it may be something locally on your machine

Yeah that's a possibility too. Make sure you didn't inadvertently install an adware plug-in to your browser. Sometimes when you download some "free" crap, those type of (spam) advertising plug-ins can get installed to your browser. You didn't really think people give stuff away out of the kindness of their heart did you? I'm finding that more likely than it being our site doing it to you. Check in your browser tools to see what kind of ad related junk might be installed, and deactivate it.

I run Windows 7 and I don't get any, but I do have a pop-up blocker enabled.

you should be able to now. you need to have a few posts to get full access. we had some spammers on here bad a few years ago and they put this in place and seems to have gotten rid of em.
