Default Radio Problem

I still have the stock radio in my 81. alls that i get out of the speakers is static. the time does not show up any more but the light that say if it is FM or AM still does. i was monkeying around with it and when i wiggle the antennae cable, the static changes to a different pitch. i also am picking up like a morse code every 10 seconds or so, might that be like a station identification? does anyone have any ideas on what i could look at on doing? thanks.

You have a 25 year old radio that died on you. You can try to have repaired but the cost of new headunits ($100 )is not worth it.
