Well, the new speakers are in, the ones in the doors were just delco speakers. Pulling the door panels off was a PITA. The new speakers are actually surprisingly bassy, the bass sounded good up until volume of ~35 of 62. Very impressed. I just need to insulate the rears better and put on better connectors and I'll be good to go.

sounds good i hope your happy with the selection you made theres nothing worse than buying speakers and a stereo and it sounding bad

Well, I insulated the rear speakers so no more roof pillars vibrating, and it sounds great, thanks for your help.

Yes I can say the same thing like BasicConcepts, you need to buy good wiring, adaptors as well.
These are important things like your sub and amp, and yes you need for both adaptors if you want to build a fine system as you wrote above.
