I just installed an aftermarket stereo into a 2011 camaro.

Used the metra double din kit and Pac harness.

I ran through the steps to get the onstar to recognize the stereo but my buddy noticed his alarm isnt working anymore. Anyone else ever had this problem?

UPDATE: So the guy left shortly after he had to travel for military orders and was going to look into later since we didn't have time for me to troublehsoot it. So... his door wasnt shut all the way and it wouldn't let the alarm cut on. Thanks greenarrow for the response and help. Nice car btw. I miss the older camaros. New ones just don't appeal to me. I am the enemy though lol I have a 2010 GT premium mustang lol. Have a good one =).

 

As far as I know the alarm wasn't hooked to anything by the stereo.
