Please stop listening to these people.

And also, please stop giving advice without knowing what you are talking about.

my personal oppinion on subs would be crossfire. i had two 15"s in my jeep and you could hear them from a block away.
Does that make them good?

comititons
Whats that?

they broke my back windshield
No they didn't and you don't have a back windshield. Its a rear window. I have built a dB car and sealed the fire wall, layed 5" of concrete on the floors, sealed the doors, etc. etc. And wouldn;t you know it, it;'s yet to break a window. You would have to be doing upwards of 160 dB to do any damage like that, and im calling BS here, no Crossfire drivers, let alone some with a Sony amp powering them will break any window.

I was running two 15" memphis Mojo's in a ported box (6 cu. maybe), with two 1100 watt amps pushing them.

I metered 154-155 at the windshield.

Guess whose back glass didn't break...

how loud are you wanting it? one thing to remember, the louder it is, the crappier the outside of the car will sound, your trunk is gonna rattle horribly. and what car are you puttin it in?
You can get loud and still sound good. You just have to know what your doing. Something that it seems no one around has ever heard of let alone used is sound deadening. No im not talking about Dyna-mat. Thats a brand not a product. Check out stuff like, E-Dead and Hush-mat. Cheap and helps take care of alot of those rattles.

alpine, audiobahn, kicker, JL,
The only brand you mentioned worth a consideration is JL, and it's very overpriced for the perforamnce you get out of it. Audiobahn is what I like to call... Proof that marketing can create and maintain a company in the mobile audio world. They move air, but sound like crap and have a high fail rate. The only people that run it are people wanting to make their system flashy or people that are sponsored so they can afford to blow their equipment left and right and not care. Type-R's don't do much for the $180 price range. Theres plenty of better stuff out there.
