I bought my car a little over 4 years ago and soon after that i had a new CD deck installed. My questions is how do you know what type of sound system you had installed on your car? Monsoon or Bose or stock? Can you just tell by the number of speakers it has? It's a 1997 Camaro RS.

sometimes its easy, if it has any branding on the speaker covers its obviously that brand, but if you have no branding on the speaker covers its probably the base system. however the base systems usually have the same amount of speaker covers as the premium amplified systems, the easiest way to check fo sho is to pop the rear panel off where their should be a 6.5" sub. if it has a sub its monsoon or bose, if not, then... well ur better off anyways[:-] i hated my blows system.. ehem i mean bose system.
