Default Transmission keeps slipping but only in reverse!

I have a 1994 V6 automatic. Whenever I shift to reverse, I accelerate and then my car starts shaking and it doesnt move until I take my foot off the gas and then it slowly, very slowly, backs up. I realize I can probably do nothing myself, but can anyone tell me what is wrong and maybe a price range? Or if I can do something myself that isnt over the average mechanics head, then what can I do?

Oh and also, it only does this in reverse, Every other gear is fine

get trans rebuilt or replace your looking at R and R time for tranny and whatever cost is to rebuild or buy new/used one

ok I checked the transmission fluid and it doesnt smell burnt and it does appear to be somewhat pink. Do you think a flush would work rather than a rebuild?

you just explained that the fluid looks good so your asking if just simply dumping good fluid out and putting new fluid in will work......
to get by you can try the stop slip transmission additive and see if it helps i doubt it will though
