ok so i finially decided to slide that gt2 cam in today. i pulled the valve covers off and to my muted horror i got some sludge issues...guess the previous owner didnt take care of her. how do i get rid of it? every rubber gasket i took out has been fried. the valley gaskets are F'd up bad. they crumbled apon removal. i was flirting with disaster with the lower intake gaskets. they were in bad shape. rubber o rings between the upper and lower intake are shot. timing chain looks healthy...im gonna roll with it. valve cover gaskets look awesome. that and i got spares. so i guess doing this cam swap is the right thing to do. im gonna put a glasspack on the exhaust to liven it up. how do i get rid of this sludge?
