Your not going to get a 3.4 to sound like a monster. A big cam (choppy sound)in a motor that is already choked because of the head design will loose power with a larger cam. You should go on to Youtube and find a 3.4 you like the sound of and read what they did to get it.
I wouldn't cam a 3.4 without doing a 3500 top swap otherwise you WILL lose power and just waste a ton of fuel. A 3.4 will never have a monster sound and even with a cam it sounds quite odd.
I think Abbott has a cam for the 3.4L however that is decent and will give you the lope from a cam. I could explain the cam profile but meh. Search for Abbott Racing Heads and on the V6 page with the 3800 stuff there's a thing about the 3.4 down there somewhere

No problem. I haven't checked Abbott's site in a while but he's got quite a few things for the 3.4 on there. If you DO go with a cam... PLEASE at least upgrade your valvesprings if you're not gonna do the heads (although you SHOULD do the heads).
ok thanx man im going to look if the sell a whole kits of something might be a lil cheaper as a set
There's a guy on FTV6 that deals with the 3.4s and does head/cam packages. Maybe you could hit him up and see what he can do. Be prepared to spend some coin though.
