I once replaced an inline 4 with a 262V6. What a pain. engine mounts, fuel delivery system, wiring harness etc... in the long run I didnt really like it and all I had was a novelty engine in a otherwise stock 95 S-10.

Ok so I just blew up the 3.4, and the v8 option is out the the question, so will a 3.8 swap with the stock 3.4 5 speed, FI harness, etc?

I have seen camaros with 3.8's in them for around 2000 dollars, unless you do the swap yourself it will cost almost that much. you could go for a re-man 3.4 and have a brand new running car.......SFC

The 3.4 and 3.8 have as much in common as the 3.4 and LT1. This means it would cost more than just simply swapping engines. Either buy a new 3.4, or buy a new car (unless you feel like doing it the hard way). Like someone mentioned, the 3.8 Camaros, are fairly cheap to come by.
