Default Stop the clicking!!!!

First off my car is a 94 3.4l and for as long as i've owned it it's made a clicking/ticking noise that are pretty consistent with the rpms. I'm pretty sure it's a stuck valve lifter and i can fix that myself, only question is i don't have the time or means to drop the motor. The real question is can i remove my intake and valve covers without yanking the engine???

Have you changed your oil recently? What oil are you using? A ticking sound could be valve train related or an exhaust manifold leak.

it's gettin around 3000 miles so i'm about to change it again, but it still ticks regardless...i've tried oil detergents and they only work for about 20 min...i guess my real question is must i drop the motor to get the intake and valve covers off

You can change lifters with the motor still in the car.
